Saki Middleton founded John Stanley and is the President of the company. Mr. Middleton is responsible for all aspects of property acquisition, entitlements, development, construction, financing (including both public and private sources), management, investor relations and capital formation. Mr. Middleton has over 18 years of real estate development, finance and investment management experience.
Prior to forming John Stanley, Mr. Middleton was a Partner at The Related Companies of California, the California division of The Related Companies, joining the company in 2000. As a Partner at Related California, Mr. Middleton identified, negotiated, and oversaw the acquisition, entitlements, development, construction, financing of 2,000 units of multifamily affordable and market-rate properties, valued over $450 Million. Prior to Related California, Mr. Middleton worked at The Bedford Group, a Los Angeles based developer as an Associate Development Project Manager. Mr. Middleton also worked in the public sector as an Analyst at the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles.
Mr. Middleton was chosen as one of Affordable Housing Finance magazine's 2009 outstanding Young Leaders under 40 in the affordable housing industry. Mr. Middleton holds a Masters of Urban and Regional Planning from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Regional Development were he was awarded an athletic scholarship. Mr. Middleton also is a Licensed California Real Estate Broker, and is a member of various professional real estate related organizations.
